    Sold or bought?
    Seth's Blog

Some things are bought--like bottled water, airplane tickets and chewing gum. The vendor sets up shop and then waits, patiently, for someone to come along and decide to buy.

Other things are sold--like cars, placement of advertising in magazines and life insurance. If no salesperson is present, if no pitch is made, nothing happens.

Both are important. Both require a budget and a schedule and a commitment.

Confusion sets in when you're not sure if your product or service is bought or sold, or worse, if you are a salesperson just waiting for people to buy.

Apple Inc. launched the iTunes Music Store in Canada on Dec 3, 2004. Until now they have combined several genres including music from all faiths, new age, and more into a general category called "Inspirational". In 2012 they finally decided to give christian music its own category in Canada similar to what they have been doing in the US and other countries. I wonder what prompted the change?  Did enough people complain? Maybe they looked at their sales numbers and realized a significant portion of their revenue comes from this genre.  It's not unusual to see Christian & Gospel music in the top ten, like the new David Crowder Band album which is skyrocketing up the top 10 charts and it was just released this week. Either way, I'm glad to see the distinction. It's about time.

Information is worthless – You can read information about photography for free on Wikipedia. Everything from advanced lens theory to what is an f stop is all there for free at the click of a mouse.
Knowledge is information that has been internalised and has meaning. If you can tell the difference between a picture taken at f/11 and f/4 you have knowledge.
Experience is the application of knowledge. Obvious stuff really, but experience comes into it’s own when things go wrong.
Wisdom is the product of experience, knowledge and information.Wisdom is extremely valuable.

Don't preach "cheap grace" because grace is priceless or "costly grace" because that is an oxymoron. Preach FREE grace because it is! - Greg Stier

    Verse 1
I have not much to offer You
    Not near what You deserve
But still I come because Your cross
Has placed in me my worth

    Chorus
    (And) I know I'm weak
    I know I'm unworthy
    To call upon Your name
    But because of grace
    Because of Your mercy
    I stand here unashamed

    Verse 2
O Christ my King of sympathy
    Whose wounds secure my peace
Your grace extends to call me friend
    Your mercy sets me free

    Verse 3
I can't explain this kind of love
    I'm humbled and amazed
That You'd come down from heaven's heights
And greet me face to face

    Misc 1
    (ENDING)
Here I am at Your feet
    In my brokenness complete
    At Your feet I'm complete
